Located in Valley City, Ohio, our expansive 300-acre facility is designed for maximum production efficiency. We specialize in producing high-quality deciduous trees, evergreens, shrubs, and perennials tailored to meet the strict standards of landscape contractors, architects, and municipalities.
Field Production
Over 200 acres dedicated to premium field-grown shade and evergreen trees, root-pruned and harvested with modern tree spades to ensure successful transplanting.
Container Pads
Dedicated container yards equipped with modern drip irrigation, producing highly consistent container-grown shrubs, ornamental grasses, and landscape-ready perennials.
Cold Storage Hoop Houses
Over 25 hoop houses dedicated to winter protection, cold storage, and holding container stock, ensuring plants are protected and ready for spring shipping.
Advanced Crop Production
Our 300-acre farm produces large quantities of container stock and field-grown plants year-round. Because these crops are at various stages of growth, they may not yet appear on our active availability sheets. Job-Site Ready Delivery: Our dedicated fleet delivers your entire plant list directly to your yard or project site. Or, follow our guidelines below for customer pickups.
Check-in at Main Office
All drivers and customers must check in at the main office (located at 1547 Marks Rd) to confirm loading tickets before entering the loading yard.
Standard Loading Hours
Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closing to ensure safe and complete loading.
Tarping & Securement Policy
We strongly recommend tarping all nursery stock. Open-air transport at highway speeds will damage foliage. We reserve the right to advise against loading unsafe or unsecured vehicles.
Equipment & Forklift Safety
Only Rusty Oak personnel are permitted to operate forklifts and machinery within the yards. Please stay with your vehicle in the designated customer waiting area during loading.
